We are excited the Mariposa Farmer’s Market is starting for 2014. It runs every Wednesday from 4:30pm-6:30pm in the parking lot at the bottom of 6th Street. It’s a great place to pick up fresh fruits, veggies, eggs, dried fruit & nuts, etc. and—of course—our delicious artisan breads and baked goods!
This year we will only be selling on the 1st Wednesday of every month, June-October.
See you June 4th!

Chocolate Almond Scones: A customer favorite! This is a delicious dessert scone with semi-sweet chocolate and sliced almonds. We recommend adding 1 Tablespoon of Almond Extract to boost the almond flavor. This mix comes with almond flavored icing to drizzle over the baked scones and extra almond slices to sprinkle on top.
Cranberry Scones: A top seller! This is the perfect scone for every occasion…or every day! You can transform this classic scone into Pumpkin Cranberry Scones (recipe included) or Cranberry Orange Scones by simply adding the fresh zest from one large orange. Yum! This mix comes with extra sprinkling sugar.
Golden Raisin and Oat Scones: This scone is inspired by a crisp Fall morning and is delightful with a hot cup of tea. It gets it’s warmth from cinnamon and nutmeg and the oats provide an extra bit of hardiness and chew. Don’t be fooled by the “cool weather only” sound to this scone though…it’s delicious any time of year! You can transform this scone into Pumpkin, Golden Raisin and Oat Scones by adding a ½ cup of pumpkin puree and reducing the whipping cream to ¾ cup. Now that sounds like a perfect bite of Autumn!
Apricot Scones: This is the perfect scone for every occasion…or every day! These sunny scones feel just right in the Spring and early Summer and are the perfect addition to your Easter brunch or Mother’s Day Tea. But if you adore apricots like we do, these scones will put a smile on your face any time of year! This mix comes with extra sprinkling sugar.
Lemon Blueberry Scones: A top seller! These scones have Spring and Summer baked right into them! With a light lemon flavor and delicious dried blueberries, your table will be bright and cheery with these scones on it. And your taste buds will thank you, too! This mix comes with extra sprinkling Lemon Sugar…for an extra lemon pop!
White Chocolate and Cherry Scones: A customer favorite! These scones are just flat out good! With a mix of three different dried cherries (Bing, Sour and Golden) and the delightful sweetness of white chocolate—what’s not to love? These scones are sure to please the palette any time of day and be the hit of your next get together. This mix comes with extra sprinkling sugar.

This post has been a long time coming but, a couple months back, we had the pleasure of making cupcakes for an intimate wedding in Jerseydale. The wedding ceremony was in the morning hours and they celebrated with a beautiful brunch afterwards. We love doing cupcakes…especially for weddings! The idea of each guest getting to pick and choose which delicious little cake they’ll enjoy is so much fun. Here they are:

In Mariposa, the last weekend of September means the Tomato Fest. We were able to be a part of it this year (albeit only on Sunday) and enjoyed baking some tomato specific breads, including: an heirloom tomato focaccia, a sun-dried tomato artisan loaf and a pesto mozzarella bread with cherry tomatoes. Yum! Not to mention a bunch of our regulars: garlic herb bread, baguettes, seeded wheat bread, scones, pumpkin bread, blueberry hand pies, apple strudel, cupcakes and cookies. Thanks to all who came out to the Tomato Fest and supported us!
We had the pleasure of making a wedding cake for the very lovely, Kendra. While we never had the opportunity to meet Dan, we did meet Kendra’s sisters, beautiful little niece, and mother. A beautiful family in the gorgeous setting of Yosemite National Park’s, Wawona Hotel. We wish all the happiness in the world to Kendra and Dan in their new life together as husband and wife and thank you for giving us the opportunity to be part of your big day.

On August 13, we had the pleasure of delivering a small, personal wedding cake to a sweet couple from the UK, Clarita and Stephen. They eloped in Yosemite at Glacier Point and wanted a cake for just the two of them to share in the tradition of “cutting the cake”. How fun! As you can see, it is not a traditional white wedding cake. They wanted a black forest cake complete with chocolate covered cherries and milk chocolate curls on top. We wish them all the best in their new life as husband and wife and hope our cake was a sweet addition to their special day!
